After making the branding, I created a few bottle prototypes to show how the brand could respond to difference sauces with its packaging. In the final iteration, I made the packaging an interactive, multi-use label that acts as the label as well as including a recipe on the back to encourage use of the sauce in a cultural recipe by the restaurant ZING! collaborates with. A QR code included at the bottom right would give the user an option to go to the ZING! website.
PACKAGING APPLICATION
ZING! is a self-made New York-based Asian sauce brand concept that delivers flavors from local Asian restaurants to store shelves. The goal? Introducing young generations to cultural cuisines and encouraging them to explore their local food scene. The name ZING! refers to the quick kick of the flavors within the sauce, acting as a sample to open the doors to further flavor exploration.
ZING!'s persona is loud and proud and aims to nurture culinary and cultural exploration.
BRANDING BRIEF
ZING!'s audience mainly consists of Gen Z and millennials interested in connecting with their culinary culture or exploring other cultures. With this in mind, I set to create a fun and interactive brand that could be adaptable to different restaurants and sauces, as well as reflect a refreshing concept for a younger audience.
